Understanding the complex determinants of the health of populations and health disparities is an urgent need in the 21st century. Research in population and public health identifies and detects health issues at both individual and community levels, and aims to promote health, prevent disease and disablement, prolong life, and improve quality of life through organized efforts at many levels of society. The Institute of Population and Public Health at Queen’s was established to contribute to the enormous role that trans-disciplinary research and its application in policy can play in maintaining and promoting a healthy global society.
Through this collection and our website, we aim to create a registry of scholars and practitioners who work in the realm of population and public health
