Casa Museo Rodolfo Siviero, Florenceen_US
This low relief, made of painted plaster of paris, is a copy of a relief made by someone in the circle of Antonio Rossellino in ca. 1465. Many such low reliefs images of the Madonna and Child were reproduced using molds. Such half-length reliefs were used for domestic devotion. These reliefs were also popular and reproduced much later, in the nineteenth century, which could be the case with this example. The relief is currently housed in the Casa Museo di Rodolfo Siviero in Florence. Photograph(s) licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.en_US
