Abstract

In this thesis I present three papers on the implications of corporate finance and credit markets. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the thesis. Chapter 2 presents the paper "Do investors value bond granularity?". It studies the impact of firm’s bond maturity dispersion on its cost of equity. Chapter 3 presents the paper "US political corruption and loan pricing". The paper discusses how does US political corruption affect the company’s loan pricing. Lastly, chapter 4 presents "Board interlock and fraud restatement spillover". It investigates corporate fraud spillover effect through the channel of board interlock.
