dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this report is to evaluate the walkability of four Metro Vancouver communities that are connected to the region's rapid transit network (SkyTrain). These communities are assessed using both geographic information systems (GIS) and a pedestrian audit tool. Using both tools creates a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of these neighbourhoods' pedestrian environments. The report concludes by providing recommendations to improve the pedestrian quality of these sites through design. | en |
