Abstract
These bas-relief fragments are found today in the Fondazione Salvatore Romano and date to c. 1450. Originally, the two saints were likely flanked by other saints and all were turned towards a central divine image. The rosettes in the background contain glass paste inlay, and traces of gilding survive on the capitals, the robes of the saints, the rosettes, and halos. The style and use of materials has been linked to Donatello, who was in Padua (from where the fragments originated) in the mid fifteenth century.
